Pai gow poker is an American version of the traditional Chinese domino game invented by Sam Torsian and Fred Wolf. In this version of the game each player is dealt seven cards instead of four dominos.
Once the cards have been dealt the object of the game is to make two poker hands and beat the dealer. One of your hands must consist of seven cards, the other of two. According to the rules of the game, a player's two card hand must be weaker than their five card hand. Thus, the two card hand is designated the front hand and the better hand the rear.
The ranking of zakłady bukmacherskie hands is determined by the standard hand rankings for a game of poker. One exception occurs, however, when an ace to five straight is better than a king high straight. This situation only occurs in some casinos but is worth noting.
Just as in traditional pai gow a player scoops the hand if both their front and rear beat the dealer. If this happens then the player's initial bet is matched and handed back to them. If a player's front cards beat the dealer's but their rear doesn't (or vice versa), then the hand is judged as a push and their original bet is retuned. Finally, if a player loses both hands then they lose and the dealer collects their bet.
If you're a fan of pai gow then pai gow poker will provide an interesting variation. Moreover, if you're a novice looking for a simpler version than the original, then this game is perfect for you.
